My name is Blaine Osepchuk and I’ve spent nearly 20 years working as a small business programmer.

While I’ve been pretty successful, I’ve had my share of missteps, mistakes, and hard times. And I know I’m not alone; I’ve watched friends and colleagues struggle as programmers in small businesses too.

Some quick web searches show two things:

  1. lots of programmers struggle to be happy and successful in small businesses
  2. there are virtually no resources specifically tailored to small businesses programmers

I think this is something that has to change.

So here’s the plan:

I’m going to share my experiences working as a small business programmer over the last two decades and some advice for how you can become more successful. I’m going to write a “Missing Manual” for how to be a wildly successful small business programmer.

Cheers!
